Tools for Good

At Oregon Tool, we believe in putting our tools and our values to work for the greater good. Through our Tools for Good program, we proudly support initiatives that align with our mission to make a positive impact on people, communities, and the planet.

We are proud to partner with One Tree Planted, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to global reforestation and the restoration of degraded landscapes. Their mission is to foster a sustainable and resilient future through innovative nature-based solutions rooted in the science of trees. With projects spanning 84 countries, they’ve planted over 171 million trees in areas impacted by deforestation, wildfires, and climate change. Our support is helping to rebuild landscapes, support local communities, and create a healthier planet – one tree at a time.

Domestically, we support Saluting Branches, a nonprofit organization that unites tree and landscape care professionals to volunteer their time and expertise in service to our nation’s veterans. Each year during a National Day of Service, volunteers across the U.S. care for the properties where veterans are laid to rest – ensuring they remain safe, beautiful, and a place where service and sacrifice are remembered. Together, we’re using our tools and skills to give back to those who served and to help preserve the spaces that honor their legacy.

We also partner with the Trailkeepers of Oregon, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing Oregon’s hiking trails. Our support provides both tools for volunteers and funding for their saw training sessions, equipping volunteers, park staff, and other trail stewards with the skills and certifications needed to safely use saws for trail maintenance across Oregon and Washington. By strengthening this critical training, we’re helping empower more people to take part in volunteer events and hands-on trail work, keeping Oregon’s trails safe, accessible, and sustainable for all.

For more than a decade, Oregon Tool’s Disaster Response Team has been at the forefront of supporting U.S. communities in crisis. Since its founding in 2012, the team has deployed to over 22 natural disasters, providing essential tools, technical expertise, and hands-on support to help first responders, local officials, and residents recover and rebuild. Whether sharpening saw chains, repairing equipment, or sharing vital safety knowledge, the team’s commitment goes beyond supplying products – they deliver the resources and care needed to restore access and hope in the aftermath of natural disasters. The Disaster Response Team exemplifies Oregon Tool’s dedication to making a lasting, positive impact wherever help is needed most. Learn more about the team’s origins and innovative approach here.

Our teams across the globe actively contribute volunteer hours and organize global stewardship opportunities in alignment with our t.r.e.e. Initiative, working to better the communities where we live and work. Read more about the t.r.e.e. Initiative.
